About us

JASMIN BERLIN is a non-commercial community event for WLIT*, organized by volunteers. JASMIN BERLIN meets every first Wednesday of the month to chat, learn, play or just watch. Usually there is a topic - for theoretical exchange or for hands-on trying out and practicing. The meeting has existed for many years at changing locations. It lives from those who come and contribute. New people are always welcome.

No matter if you’re new to JASMIN BERLIN, or if it’s your first time getting into this whole BDSM thing, or you’ve never done it outside of the comfort of home, or you’re new to the WLIT* community – you’re very welcome here! We're inviting not only newbies, bit also those who still feel new. At our event, we often offer the “newbie & co couch” from 7.15 to 8 pm – a cozy little FAQ with a guided tour through the Quälgeist. We'll answer all the questions we can and give you insights into the scene, etiquette, structures and codes. Just check our calendar to find out if there is a „newbie & co – couch“ that evening and to know the topic of the evening. We also sometimes offer evenings especially aimed at new people. Of course, you’re very welcome to all JASMIN BERLIN meetings! If you’ve got questions, there’s always someone around at our meetings happy to talk to you and find useful answers and handy tips.

As most of you already know, there is now a new orga-team for JASMIN BERLIN. Currently we are still looking for more people who would like to present a hands-on workshop or moderate a group discussion for an evening (it is not necessary to know a lot about the topic as a moderator). If you have an idea for a workshop or if you would be up for moderating a discussion, please write us here or just come talk to us during the next meeting. We’re always happy to hear your workshop suggestions or offers for group discussions! 

What’s special about our get-togethers are the varied possibilities of how to spend the evening. It’s not necessary to be particularily interested in the topic of the evening, it’s also possible to chat privately at the bar or in the smoking room or to find a space for a play in the play area even if there’s a practical topic at the same time.

Usually the evening’s topic will be covered in German. However, if there is a need for it, we will conduct the evening bi-lingual. From our experience there is always someone who will translate (into English). We make a special effort to communicate in a calm and respectful manner in order to create an comfortable atmosphere. Everyone should have the chance not only to listen and understand but also to speak, to ask and to share experiences.

The WLIT* BDSM scene desires not only sensual encounters but advocates responsible interaction. In order to ensure this, we have discussed “play rules” and established a code of conduct. The current play party agreement is consensus at our evening and in a similar form at many other events: Playparty Rules.
